THE HUBERT VESTER TOYOTA-INSHORE MARINE-TASS FALL KING MACKEREL, SPANISH MACKEREL AND SPOT TOURNAMENT was held Saturday, October 13, 2007 at Atlantic Beach. The Captains’ Meeting was held at the dock of The Palm Suites. There were a record number of entrants for this tournament, fifteen in the King-Spanish Mackerel Tournament and six in the Spot Tournament. It was a great day for fishing, even the bait cooperated. Fish were caught from Cape Lookout to Bogue Inlet.

King Mackerel results:

                        First Place: Proud Mary, Captains Rob and David Pennington   18.90 lbs.

                        Second Place: Reel Pirates, Captain Will Woodside  17.88 lbs.

                        Third Place: King’s High, Captain Mike Tyndall   17.86 lbs.

                        Fourth Place: Reel Deal, Captain Keith House  16.98 lbs.

Spanish Mackerel results:

                        First Place: Miss Rosemary, Captain Sam Anderson    6.30 lbs.

Spot results:

                        First Place: Ace of Diamonds, Captain Robert Taylor   0.84 lb.

                        Second Place: OBX Girl, Captain Jimmie Dupree   0.54 lb.
